Sequoia Andrade

Sequoia Andrade is a Research Engineer at HX5 LLC. on a NASA Ames Research Center contract. Her work falls under the System-Wide Safety project and is centered around using machine learning, data analysis, and modeling to evaluate system safety. She is involved in the System Modeling and Analysis of Resiliency (SMARt) project, as well as the Resilience Analysis and Design (RAD) project. She is particularly interested in work applying mathematics and data science for social good, such as wildfire response. In 2020, she graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S., majoring in mathematics, with an applied emphasis, and psychology. In 2022, she was awarded the NSF GRFP fellowship with a focus on data science. In fall of 2022, she will be pursuing a masters degree in statistical data science at San Francisco State University.
