Dr. Corina Pasareanu Co-Chairs Joint European Union Software Engineering Conference and Symposium

Robust Software Engineering (RSE) group member Dr. Corina Pasareanu co-chaired the 26th ACM Joint European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering (ESEC/FSE 2018), which was held from November 4-9 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA. She also received the ACM ESEC/FSE Test of Time Award, given annually, recognizing highly influential papers published ten years ago in ESEC or FSE.

BACKGROUND: The ACM Joint European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering (ESEC/FSE) is an internationally renowned forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences, and challenges in the field of software engineering. Formerly the FSE conference in alternating years and ESEC/FSE in other years, ESEC/FSE is now the new name of this annual conference series. The ESEC/FSE conference brings together experts from academia and industry to exchange the latest research results and trends, as well as their practical application in all areas of software engineering. The 2018 edition was organized by Gary Leavens (General Chair) and Alessandro Garcia and Corina Pasareanu (Program Co-Chairs). The Test of Time Award was given for the paper titled, "Differential Symbolic Execution", co-authored by Suzette Person, Matthew B. Dwyer, Sebastian G. Elbaum, and Corina S. Pasareanu.
