Supplier Agreement Management

Supplier Agreement Management is the process by which a project manages the acquisition of a software product produced by an outside supplier. While not a common activity among Code TI software projects, projects should nonetheless be aware of the most common steps and activities required for a systematic and careful management of external acquisition, should it ever come up. This includes every step of the software acquisition process, from defining the type of acquisition (COTS purchase, contracted development, some combination thereof), supplier selection, establishing and maintaining supplier agreements, monitoring and evaluating supplier processes, accepting delivery, and transitioning acquired software to the delivered product.
