The Code TI Online Software Engineering Handbook is designed to help division software project managers identify and define the minimum set of products and activities that will meet NASA, Ames and division requirements for software projects of their class and scope.
Implementation of a minimum set of products and activities as defined in this Handbook will define a software assurance program for a project.
Materials in this Handbook are presented from two different perspectives. The CMMI view describes required and recommended products and activities for those software projects interested in organizing their work products and processes according to the seven CMMI Practice Areas associated with Maturity Level 2.
The Lifecycle process view describes required and recommended products and activities grouped according to standard phases in most common software project lifecycles.
In addition to descriptions and general guidance, these pages also provide document templates and examples from past software projects, to help projects develop their own documentation.
