The Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) Society awarded Abhinav Saxena its first-ever Distinguished Service Award at its annual Prognostics and Health Management Conference, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, September 23-27, for continued service to the PHM community. Abhinav has been supporting various activities within the PHM Society since its inception in 2009, including organization of PHM conferences in various capacities, such as being the technical chair of this year’s conference. Abhinav was also recognized for revitalizing the society’s quality research journal when he took over as editor-in-chief. The International Journal of the PHM (ijPHM) differentiates itself by focusing on the latest high-quality research in systems health management, open access, and fast turnaround.
BACKGROUND: Within the scope of outreach activities, the Prognostics Center of Excellence actively engages in research collaborations with external partners in industry and academia, participates in technical standards committees, and coordinates technical meetings and conferences. Staying actively involved with key activities in the international PHM community keeps the Center at the leading edge of quality research and advancements in prognostics and health management.
