Intelligent Systems Division Team Operates LCROSS Spacecraft and Staffs Mission Control During Successful Lunar Impact

On Oct 9, 2009 the LCROSS impactor and shepherding spacecraft successfully completed the operational phase of the mission by impacting the lunar surface. Intelligent Systems Division personnel staffed LCROSS mission control at the Ames Multi-Mission Operations Center for the duration of the mission, and are now awaiting the results of the science data analysis.
