A non-reimbursable Space Act Agreement was signed between Boeing Phantom Works and NASA Ames Research Center on February 4, 2009. The Space Act Agreement has the purpose of developing health management methodologies, techniques, and systems for aircraft and spacecraft. Specific topics of collaboration covered under this SAA include the assessment of current Integrated System Health Management (ISHM) capabilities and emerging technologies for ISHM development, the development of an analytical framework for evaluation and benchmarking of diagnostic approaches, and new technologies for wiring fault detection.
